Adopt A Wolf

Adopt a Wolf

The wolf, one of the most common of wild dog species, has been extinct in Britain since the 18th century and it is now becoming rare elsewhere too, particularly in Western Europe and the United States.

The global wolf population is in decline due to habitat destruction and also through persection by mankind – the wolf has unfairly gained a pretty fearsome reputation over the years through myth and legend and general misunderstanding. The wolf is the ancestor of the domestic dog.

Wolf Adoption : The Aspinall Foundation works in conjunction with Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks in the UK to protect rare and endangered animals, and return them to protected areas in the wild. It is a sad fact that humans are likely to cause the extinction of a quarter of all known species in the next 20 years, unless we work together to protect them now.

By adopting a Timber Wolf today you will be giving the species a chance of survival for the future. Just £25.00 will help to protect, feed, keep healthy and enriched through play, the wolves in care through The Aspinall Foundation around the world.

About the Canadian Timber Wolves: Shed is one of 6 brothers in the pack at Port Lympne. Growing up Shed spent a lot of his time alone, often to be found sitting on his own in a shed – which is how he came to be given his rather unusual name! In recent times Shed has become much more of a pack animal and has become more interactive with the rest of the pack and has even increased his standing in the pack’s social order.

Animal adoptions make wonderful ethical gifts so why not treat a friend or family member to one of the fantastic wolf adoption boxes and be safe in the knowledge that you have contributed towards helping the timber wolf species to survive.
